You have a valid point. But, intrinsic human trait revolves around self-interest. Other than the early friendship, most of the friendships that happens in the later years involve a mindset of reciprocity of favors. When that happens, there is bound to be difference in thinking and actions. In a way, that would be better to bring out various perspectives.
