This is a touchy subject, but still would like to share my thoughts.
In the 21st century, where overall global gender ratio is 1.01 to 1, and many countries (especially developed countries) having more women than men, we have to be careful about overstretching this topic just because there are some bad apples out there all the way at the top of organizations.
We need to understand that we need to look at the merit of the case at an individual level rather than generalizing to prevent gender war, and reverse gender domination in the future.
Along the lines of the movie, Disclosure, thorough investigation is necessary to avoid branding all men or any particular group to be discriminatory.
For example, if you work for a lady, who becomes VP or President through right connections in the shortest period rather than based on merit and/or performance, that person has the potential to exploit her power as much as a man would do.
Personally, I believe, excessive power should not go to wrong leaders who can't fathom the words, "Great responsibilities comes with great power" as that will supersede gender, experience, age, ethnicity, race, religion or any other factor.
