AUTOMATION & PRODUCTIVITY

This extends to my previous articles on productivity increase from automation. Such productivity increases should be matched by appropriate governmental policies, along the lines of basic income being implemented by many countries, and more. Also, if there were to be productivity increases through automation, there is a possibility for decrease in consumer demand. For eg., if more people are going to rely on basic income and don't have to commute much, they would not see a need for cars. This change would call for improving public transportation as pointed out earlier in another article.
