Similarly, even if there were to be 1% truth to global weather pattern changes from ghg emissions leading to global catastrophe, the human and property losses can be significant, and irreparable to a large extent.
Note: it will be better to categorize this change as global weather/climate change rather than global warming where rains, drought, snow and other weathering patterns could change to varying extents in different parts of the world.
By the way, this is why we need knowledgeable politicians, who can't be duped easily, and who would ask critical questions, surrounded by high quality long-term thinkers. Politicians who would read through details themselves, and have the ability to understand those facts as much as possible, and not sign everything that comes to their desk.
