This entire drama lacks complete story.

This entire drama lacks complete story. First and foremost, in this crowdsourced world, let the real data come to open for us all to see. It will also be a good exercise for budding dataperts (Data experts).

Secondly, when it comes to pause, there are different theories out there about the pause, and even those researchers hypothesize that this pause will be temporary, if we don't control ghg emissions.

Thirdly, a world with 7 billion people, which used to be only 1 billion in 1800 (after may be, 200000 years into the godly evolution of modern humans - Why godly? We still don't know why not all apes changed to humans) with significant increase in energy consumption and demand would automatically result in increase in CO2 emissions, and in turn impact the atmosphere while also calling for significant demand in energy consumption.

Though this story is getting all the attention, still major story remains intact. To wrap up, going by Pascal's wager, where believing in god, if it were to help in our betterment would be better than not believing (which god is better - I don't think gods would be fighting with each other, and only the followers tend to). Similarly, even if there were to be 1% truth to global weather pattern changes from ghg emissions leading to global catastrophe, the human and property losses can be significant, and irreparable to a large extent.

Note: it will be better to categorize this change as global weather/climate change rather than global warming where rains, drought, snow and other weathering patterns could change to varying extents in different parts of the world.

By the way, this is why we need knowledgeable politicians, who can't be duped easily, and who would ask critical questions, surrounded by high quality long-term thinkers. Politicians who would read through details themselves, and have the ability to understand those facts as much as possible, and not sign everything that comes to their desk.

World leaders duped by manipulated global warming data | Daily Mail Online

'The Mail on Sunday can reveal a landmark paper exaggerated global warming
It was rushed through and timed to influence the Paris agreement on climate change
America’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration broke its own rules
The report claimed the pause in global warming never existed, but it was based on misleading, ‘unverified’ data'
