There is a saying, Dose determines poison (or paayasam - added my creativity here :-) ).
First part of this quote is credited to #Paracelsus, who is considered father of modern #toxicology. This kind of study also forms an essential part of chemistry (primary building block for many other areas) and pharmacology.
Similar saying is also prevalent in many other cultures - Indian, Chinese, Greek, Egyptian .. (This post takes me back to 20th century, and the time when I got 95% in pharma, which I think was the highest score in college - fond memory, I guess)
